ABOUT THE ROLE

> Between 4 and 9 sessions/week
> The practice is actively planning to become a training practice, so this could be a plus for a trainer or someone having a special interest in training

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

> Clinical Support Staff: Clinical Pharmacists, Acute Care Nurse practitioner, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Phlebotomists,Care Coordinators. Proactive and embedded ARRS workforce: First Contact Practitioners, Health and Wellbeing Coaches
> Good CQC rating
> High QOF score (between 90% and 95%)
> State of the art purpose-built Health Centre
> Onsite Parking

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
> In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence
> Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
> Prepare and complete the revalidation process
> Participate in audit where appropriate.
> Support the partners in achieveing the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
> Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance
> Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
> Using personal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines
> Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Using electronic medical records
> Working within primary care
> Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
> Experience with clinical risk management
> Excellent time management
> General understanding of the GMS contract
> Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date
> You must be registered with the GMC
> Vocational training certificate or equivalent
