ABOUT THE ROLE

> 5 to 6 sessions/week, or 1 week on 1 week off, or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 1 month on and one month off
> No extended hours
> Very small Practice with a small number of patients. Ideal for continuity of care

> Clinical Support Staff: Practice Nurse, Nurse Practitioners, HCA, Social Prescribers, GP Care Advisors, First Contact MSK Physiotherapist, Clinical Pharmacist, dispensing team

> Onsite parking

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
> Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, CQC
> Communicate effectively with other team members
> Providing advice on the correct and safe management of the specimens process, including collection, labelling, handling, use of correct and clean containers, storage and transport arrangements
> Help the practice build on their latest, positive, CQC report and shape the future of the practice.
> Management of the full range of infection control procedures in both routine and extraordinary circumstances (e.g. pandemic or individual infectious circumstances)
> Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance
> Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
> Discussing treatment options and obtaining informed consent.
> Managing directly all incidents of accidental exposure

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Flexibility
> Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcomes Framework
> GMC registered General Medical Practitioner
> Experience with clinical risk management
> Willingness to obtain necessary training and participate in on-going development
> General understanding of the GMS contract
> MBBS or equivalent medical degree
> You must be registered with the GMC
> Strong Microsoft office skills
