ABOUT THE ROLE

> 5 to 6 sessions/week, or 1 week on 1 week off, or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 1 month on and one month off
> No extended hours
> Very small Practice with a small number of patients. Ideal for continuity of care

> Clinical Support Staff: Practice Nurse, Nurse Practitioners, HCA, Social Prescribers, GP Care Advisors, First Contact MSK Physiotherapist, Clinical Pharmacist, dispensing team

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
> In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence
> Effective management of long-term conditions
> Actively identifying, reporting, and correcting health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised
> Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
> Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patients needs
> Prescribing medications and monitoring their effectiveness.
> Documenting patient consultations, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans.
> Discussing treatment options and obtaining informed consent.
> Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Relaxed, positive and friendly manner
> Working within primary care
> GMC registered General Medical Practitioner
> High level of IT skills to ideally include Microsoft office
> Qualified GP
> Membership of a recognised medical defence organisation
> MBBS or equivalent medical degree
> Ideally Member of The Royal College of General Practitioners
> Completion of a recognised GP training program
