COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

> £11,000 to £12,500 per session

ABOUT THE ROLE

> Between 4 and 8 sessions/week
> 12.5 minute consultations
> 13 patient contacts per session
> Rare home visits: one a week or less
> Daily meetings

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

> Clinical Support Staff: Large nursing team (including nurse prescriber), visiting nurses and also Pharmacist, Care Coordinator, First Contact Physio, Mental health Social prescriber, Youth emotional support staff
> Good CQC rating
> High QOF score (between 90% and 95%)
> Onsite parking

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Communicate effectively with patients and carers
> Contributing to the housekeeping and updating of computer-based patient records.
> Demonstrate due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
> Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
> Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.
> Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
> Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance
> Safe management of sharps use, storage and disposal
> Discussing treatment options and obtaining informed consent.
> Maintenance of sterile environments

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Experience of working in a primary care environment
> Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
> To work collaboratively with the ICB, PCN and Neighbourhood including participation in training events, professional meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings, significant event analysis and other activities in the interest of the individual, team development and improved care of patients
> GMC registration
> To hold a degree in medicine that is recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
> Problem solving and change management skills
> Complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
> Ability to work under pressure
> Strong Microsoft office skills
