ABOUT THE ROLE

> 5 to 6 sessions/week, or 1 week on 1 week off, or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 1 month on and one month off
> No extended hours
> Very small Practice with a small number of patients. Ideal for continuity of care

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
> Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills, and initiate and manage the training of others across the full range of infection control and patient processes
> Adhering to clinical governance standards.
> Actively identifying, reporting, and correcting health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised
> Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
> Support the partners in achieveing the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
> Correct waste and instrument management, including handling, segregation, and container use
> Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
> In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
> Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks across clinical and patient process

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
> On medical performers list
> Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes
> Experience with clinical risk management
> Experience of working in a primary care as a qualified GP or during Training Specialty
> Calm under pressure
> Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, taking responsibility for managing own workload
> Ability to work under pressure
> Friendly and inclusive
