ABOUT THE ROLE

> 5 to 6 sessions/week, or 1 week on 1 week off, or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 1 month on and one month off
> No extended hours
> Very small Practice with a small number of patients. Ideal for continuity of care

> Clinical Support Staff: Practice Nurse, Nurse Practitioners, HCA, Social Prescribers, GP Care Advisors, First Contact MSK Physiotherapist, Clinical Pharmacist, dispensing team

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records
> In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence
> Awareness of national standards of infection control and cleanliness and regulatory / contractual / professional requirements, and good practice guidelines
> Prepare and complete the revalidation process
> Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
> Communicating effectively with patients to ensure understanding of their conditions and treatment plans.
> Correct waste and instrument management, including handling, segregation, and container use
> Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
> The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
> On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Flexibility
> Working within primary care
> To work collaboratively with the ICB, PCN and Neighbourhood including participation in training events, professional meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings, significant event analysis and other activities in the interest of the individual, team development and improved care of patients
> Full UK driving licence
> Good sense of humour
> Fully qualified GP
> Able to work autonomously
> Completion of a recognised GP training program
> Vocational training certificate or equivalent
